First, let me say thanks to everyone for toning down the volume on the State Party Chair race. For the record, the street is giving conflicting word: I've heard Pelz has it in the bag, and I've heard he's in for a Ruderman surprise. There is consensus that it is between those two. From the real information I've been able to gather, it sounds like Pelz has the votes, but it won't be a first-ballot victory. But keep in mind, I haven't talked to the majority of the voters, so I'm not "in the know" - just speculating.
Bottom line: In two months, we'll have forgotten all this and be focused on our LD and Congressional campaigns. As for Switzer, he's ready to work with whoever wins, as long as we start getting some work done.
- Interesting! House Minority Leader Richard DeBolt tacked a $3 million subsidy for a rail line in his district that had already been built and paid for - by his employer, TransAlta. Is there a conflict there, I wonder?
- The Stranger sez Drinking Liberally is kewl. We agree. We agree also with Goldy - how come Hominid Views got a link and we got the shaft?
- Jay Inslee, this week's DL guest, joined in the announcement of a renewable energy initiative that was filed on Wednesday.
- I can buy a 120-year old house with 1700 square feet and air conditioning for $37,000 in Central Kansas. Does anyone really think the average home in Seattle is truly worth $300,000+? I'm just sayin'
- Susan Hutchison says no thanks, McGavick has a clear field. Who is he again?
- Are bloggers journalists? Kos has talked about this, and it's relevant to us, given what we do. Should this proposed shield law apply to our writing?
It's your thread, kids - have at it!
