The Senate has passed HB 2661 by a vote of 25-23, and the bill (with amendments) has been sent to the House for concurrence before being sent to the Governor.

61-37 House vote also about Sen McClaslin

The book on Sen McCaslin who walked out and was excused from the vote is that he was respecting a former aid of his who died of AIDS. So since he "could not" vote yes he chose not to vote at all.

Good Job of Vigilance and fast action

Glad to be in good company here at Washblog, seeing you all in action! Followed the updates on the abhorrent use of sexual predator issue to their own gain by what is becoming the abhorrent political party. Use of a real and terrifying issue to every victim and their families of predatory sexual offenders as a political gamecard is almost as close to as sick as the offenders.
