Darryl's just posted on Hominid Views: Reichert Ad "Misquotes" Seattle Times.

The misquote is the smallest misrepresentation in this ad -- but perhaps it is the most patently obvious. These lies are exhausting me. Maybe that's the point. Overwhelm everyone with your bullcrap till they just give up. Then the liars can take over completely.

I just skimmed Noemie's excellent diary on how the fascists want to use the government to enrich their rich friends by putting one of their synchophants on the Washington Supreme Court - after just barely losing to Gerry Alexander ...

I just skimmed Josh Feit in the Stranger and his piece on Cantwell & how the thugs ambushed the Dems with a couple of crappy votes at the end of Sept. http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=84795 The reponses I read to the thug chicanery are the kind of educated / inside the beltway / finger wagging / we're smart = their dumb responses which have been a mainstay of Dem reponses for ... 26 years? Longer?

a few choice quotes:

"to put up a misleading ad that's not accurate about the sales tax... "

maybe she should use MORE big syllable words with MORE complex logic? ugh.

At this point in a campaign, there are only 3 states of message / campaign:

Your ideas and message is hitting all cylinders - People are flocking to YOU, and the bad guys are RESPONDING to you.
You are getting pummeled on message. Die hards hang around ... cuz they are "die hards".
Some middling state, one of the outer circles of hell, which might turn into the promised land ...maybe, hopefully, if, but, ...

It REALLY seems like a pre-requisite for being a senior Democrat / message / campaign person, in this state anyway, is that you HAVE to be committed to living in either state of being pummeled (#2) or one of the outer circles of hell. (#3)
