To the many who complained that Darcy Burner's introductory ad was horrible because it didn't hit Reichert...
Is she hitting him hard enough for you yet?
Peace, Chad (The Left) Shue
I think the DCCC can fairly pull the ad by now - the controversy alone will get it on the evening news and it will live on in blogs and youtube forever. :-)

and, in my NOT humble opinion, the DCCC should have been hammering this bush stooge 20 months ago, but ...
we've had those chats ;)

...make sure everyone knows that the Burner campaign had nothing to do with that ad.
It is the independent opinion of a political party and was not solicited or approved by the Darcy Burner campaign.
The Seattle Times endorsed Reichert and told us all that he has an "independent voting record". And of course that's nonsense. They also said that Burner wasn't running against George Bush. Well, obviously she is and obviously Dave Reichert bears direct responsibility for his party's policies.
But the preposterous notion that a Republican congressman is not responsible for the failures of his party's policies can emanate from an otherwise rational, even liberal newspaper because it's believable in the absence of a wedge driven between Reichert and Bush.
And why did the Dems NOT make Reichert choose between Bush and the voters of Washington state? Because (duh) on Bush's centerpiece issue, the Democrats themselves were with Bush and not Washington state.
Nationally, 43% of respondents to a Pew poll say they strongly disagree with George Bush's policies, up from 8% in 2002. So what do you think the percentage of strong disapproves is in the 8th? I'll bet it's about 50%.
The fault is not Burner's really, but her cohorts in the party kept her from riding that trend because they completely misjudged the electorate.
