To post a comment directly to the diary, I had to click on the "Full Story" link at the bottom of the post.  That pops up another window that allows you to click on "Post A Comment"

n/t means (at least I think I've figured it out) "no text."

People do that when they want to make a quick comment that shows up only in the title -- and they want others to save their time, not click to open the comment when there's nothing there.

East-side candidate receives record $6,000 contribution from special interest group.

Bellevue, Washington: According to the Public Disclosure Commission website Jennifer Robertson, a candidate for Bellevue City council, received $6000.00 from the Eastside Business Alliance. The group claims on their website "The purpose of the Eastside Business Alliance is to foster in East King County a political climate in which elected officials know and understand the challenges faced by today's business community." However, it appears that the alliance is more interested in controlling the political climate in this case.
"I think voters will draw their own conclusions about relationships in politics, I am running a clean campaign and offer voters a home-grown alternative" said Betina Finley who is also running for the seat left open by Phil Noble who died this past June.
East side voters are grappling with potential light rail alignment issues, heliports downtown and a $133 million dollar capital budget shortfall.
Also in the race for position 7, is Mike Creighton who was appointed to temporarily fill the open seat.
