I want to go formally on record ...

I fully 100% support Sen. Russ Feingold and the action he has proposed.

As usual, I wait patiently to see how it turns out and continue making little mental notes about what Ms. Murray and Cantwell do with this.

I definitely want my name associated with Democrats who support Feingold.

As for these other two, based on recent votes and non-supportive actions that favor strengthened backbones, grit and resolve, I do not associate the names Murray and Cantwell with Feingold.

And I'll thank all of you to not mention my name as in any way connected to Patty's and Maria's.

I have been writing to Sen Murray about Feingold and in my last email told her office not to send me another canned email as they just pissed me off (yes, I was more polite than that) I received an email yesterday that I actually think might not be a canned one and once again stated how tough it was because we are in the minority. Pshaw! This is my reply to her.

Dear Senator Murray, Thank you for your letter regarding the Feingold censor.

I've come to the conclusion that it is no excuse any longer to say that because we are the minority we are impotent. I was not in the country during 1994 so until recently did not know why the Clinton health care plan didn't get passed. But as you know the democrats were the majority. I recently read an interview that former Pres. Clinton gave. And the reason the healthcare plan didn't pass was that the republicans threatened to filibuster. They didn't sit around feeling sorry for themselves they took what little power they had and used it.

Here is what Clinton said in that interview.

ANDREW DENTON: What was the moment where you actually slammed up against the wall of the limits of power?

BILL CLINTON: I think when I realised that...I couldn't break the Republican filibuster. And as long as Bob Dole had 41 Senators out of 100, he could stop anything I wanted to do in the Congress except pass the Budget. And they killed...a program to provide a short-term boost to the economy. And then they killed all health care reform.

We have 44 senators and yet we act as if we are afraid and I guess congressional Democrats are afraid. I now firmly believe it was the strength of the Republican minority that led to their taking over the congress in the 1994 elections. Simply sitting, whining about the big, bad, republicans just doesn't cut it. When I was active in the 70's for women's rights we didn't let all those against us stop us, we knew right was on our side. Well, Senator Murray right is on our side again and again we need to stand up to that idiot in the WH. Senator Murray, please listen to your heart, Feingold is right, the president has been breaking the law and someone needs to finally tell him enough.
