How dare I question the morals and motives of a wonderful patriot like George W. Bush in a time of war.
Amazing isn't it? They can't react to specific threats from numerous sources (FBI agents in Phoenix, Arizona and Minnesota) about specific individuals (some of the 9/11 hijackers, Middle Eastern males taking pilot training who want to learn how to fly but not how to land, intercepted communications between suspected terrorist groups in which the flying of hijacked planes into buildings is clearly indicated), but they can find reason enough (and adequate financial resources) to study vague patterns of phone usage, yet they won't be "listening" to our conversations, and this is not data mining.
All this from a President whose entire Administration seems pathologically incapable of telling the truth. This from a man whose Vice-President, Dick Cheney, publicly and loudly ridicules and criticizes the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, for backtracking on democratic reforms, then in nearly the very next breath praises the dictator of a former Soviet Republic whose human rights record is far worse than Russia's.
Sure, I can buy that. I would be un-American not to.
