He wore a Darth Vader suit (wait, isn't Darth Vader the corrupted and, finally, tragic figure?). But it didn't help much. Only 105,000 or so Washingtonians want gay people to be discriminated against in health care, housing, and employment.
That's not enough to qualify Referendum 65 for the ballot in November.

Actually, Tim Eyman didn't fail, in my estimation. He did a good job. He showed Washington's voters what he's about. He helped display to the world that, here in Washington, hatred just doesn't have enough traction to qualify for the ballot.
