The 18th Lentil Festival is over. Senator Cantwell went very much out of her way to come over and participate in the parade and later festivities with the Whitman County Democrats and the Washington State University Young Democrats. I am somewhat biased, but I believe it was when Maria made her second visit to Whitman County for this festival in 2000, that we set her on the road to Victory.

It's a short parade, about a 17 minute dash for about 5 blocks.

After the parade, she visited and discussed the issues with the people in the park. She stopped at the Pea and Lentil booth

The specific product on display today was breakfast cereals made from Chickpeas. These cereals taste good and are high in protein. The spokesman for the Council told me that Maria is an essential part of continued federal support for these programs.

Finally, the Senator and some of her friends in Eastern Washington

Gibney is not an idiot. But he is a

shameless self promoter. Take the last photo for instance and lets play where is Gibney.
Hint: He is one of three with a certain article of clothing that can be seen in the photo.

Man, say what you want about her politically, but Senatory Cantwell stays in fighting trim, I will give her that.

A credit to her state's reputation for physical fitness, is Senator Cantwell.
