HELP HONG TRAN BECOME WASHINGTON STATE'S NEXT SENATOR
Last night's primary victory for Ned Lamont bodes well for the Hong Tran senatorial campaign in Washington State. Hong is taking on an incumbent senator on many of the same issues that led to the defeat of Joe Lieberman.
And incumbent Maria Cantwell has many of the same attributes that Lieberman displayed in recent years. Specifically, she has supported this administration in its war effort refusing to admit that she made a mistake (based on faulty information) and calling for a logical plan for getting our troops home. And soon. The need to do so increases daily as Iraq slides toward civil war and tens of thousands of people hit the streets of Baghdad chanting `death to the Jews' and `Death to the Americans". Can you imagine how our young men and women serving there feel when a fire fight breaks out in Baghdad. Do I shoot the Sunni on the left or the Shite on the right? Even our military leaders are admitting that civil war is close. Do we want our troops to be in the middle of it? Can Tran win?
Yes, with your help. Here's how.
Go to her website at www.hongtran.com and learn about her and her platform. If you have questions, email her. She'll answer. If you agree with her, then first, send her a couple of bucks (or a lot of bucks if you got them). She needs funds in these final weeks to get the word out. PayPal is an option. Second, help build grass roots support for her. Volunteer. Host a gathering of neighbors, door bell, post signs, get your relatives and friends involved. Remember Howard Dean? He grew his support by using the internet. Let's do the same. Take a few moments today to email your list of friends informing them about Hong and the options she provides. And ask them to email their friends with the same endorsement. If you blog, then blog for Hong and cross blog Add a signature to the bottom of your outgoing emails directing people to www.hongtran.com (Its often the little things that count). If you belong to a political organization, email them and ask them to provide a link to the Hong campaign website. Finally, add other ideas of how we can support Hong to the bottom of this through the comments section. Let's bring the troops home. Let's elect Hong Tran to the United States Senate. Thank you.
