Dane Keane busted again!!

Douglas County Commissioner Dane Keane was issued a $195 speeding ticket for going 20 mph over the speed limit on Saunders Road outside of Rock Island WA.

This is not his first violation, he has had an extend history of driving volitions.  Of course he and his Mother always have a good excuse for what ever it is he gets busted for. Yes, Dane may be our County Commissioner but "Mom" is always there to cover up for him and enable him. Gosh, isn't that what mom's are for?

Apparently this time the commissioner was driving a Ford SUV registered in his name at about 7 p.m. Dec. 10 when a deputy clocked him going 55 mph in a 35-mph zone.

Always quick with "why" he is doing what ever illegal thing it is that he is doing at the time Dane offered up this..."I was driving home from a basketball tournament with my wife, daughter and a family friend in my private rig" Notice he made sure we all knew he was doing a violation in a personal rig...this time.

Keane then tells the reporter, "and as it should be when someone breaks the law in Douglas County, I received a speeding ticket," "I'm no different than anybody else when it comes to breaking the law." A lot of Douglas County citizens might not agree with Dane (see my past postings on Dane and his antics) because he does seem to get away with a lot more than most folks.

On Sept. 18, Keane was ticketed for failing to report a collision after he hit a guardrail on Badger Mountain Road while driving a county-owned vehicle. No one was injured in the collision, but the vehicle sustained more than $2,700 in damages. Keane also plead guilty to second-degree negligent driving in October. The charge, which stemmed from the collision, was reduced from reckless driving. He paid $674 in fines for the two infractions. Five years ago he was caught tossing beer cans into a county dumpster while he was in a county rig. He spent a few weeks in rehab and then went on to get reelected.

About two weeks after he came back from "Pain" rehab in October he was once again speeding up and down Keane Grade, where he and we both live...
My husband called him up and asked him to slow down and even though we saw Dane's tan and white Ford pickup speeding up the hill to the Keane Ranch, Dane denied it was him or any of his family (he has a son that has learned how to drive from dear old dad so sometimes it is hard to know which one it is). Most importantly Dane informed my husband that his dad built Keane Grade and that he (Dane) had always drive up it fast and to date he has not killed anyone while he was driving. No Dane you haven't killed anyone ...yet. Ran a couple off the road, wrecked vehicles, and county property and otherwise terrorized your constituents but nobody has died yet. So just keep it up maybe if you are really luck you can add manslaughter to your driving record.

Hopefully the Republican Party will get tired of this bozo and come up with somebody that is law abiding, and responsible to run against Dane in 2008. Until then we have most likely have more laughs in store.
