Apparently I can't get to (pollsite) Inspector training tomorrow...

...or at least that's what the friendly reminder from someone at King County Government was trying to tell me: allow extra travel time. On a Saturday. Hrmmmm.. And oooerrr... no Monorail? No extra buses available from Metro? Zoning by exception contrary to neighborhood plans? No transportation plan? Some sort of developer property tax exemption courtesy of Minnie Pearl Nickels which shi(f)ts the tax burden to the existing base for ten years (great fun for the interest-only condo speculators I'm sure)?

But they want us to have elections. That's why they want me to upgrade from being an assistant inspector close to my home to being a full-blown inspector at the county jail (boyo, glad we don't want to deny THEM their right to vote!). At least this year, before they can get the newly improved dead but impeccably polished model 2 Diebold election horses delivered (never mind the flies!).

I found out an hour ago that my spouse heretofore had apparently never encountered the word intransingence. Hrmmm. She didn't stick around for my definition which cited relevance to the conversation at hand.
