And I say that as a fellow from New Jersey, so I think I know a little bit about corruption.
The fact that things this idiocy and that outrage doesn't shock Alaskans is very familiar to me. I lived in a town where the former mayor - just recently released from prison for fraud - ran again (although he was legally unable to take office) and decent support. That a felon shoould run for office didn't shock us. After all, many New Jersey politicians end up in prison. And it was a part of New Jersey where a whole union had to be run by the federal government because it had become and actual, functioning Cosa Nostra "crew" with its president a well-known "capo" in the Genovese crime family.
So you'll pardon me if I'm not charmed by Alaska's low standards.
