I was having dinner in Ricos

Turns out there was a Peter Goldmark    gathering organized by a local activist that I didn't know about.
Nice little gathering of new and not yet active locals. Eileen (WSDCC Vice Chair) was here also. Eileen and I spoke some on the background of Whitman County Democrats. We also addressed the significant likely disenfranchisement of WSU students under our current auditor Eunice, we expect much better from Nathan  in the future after November.

Brianna, from Peter's outfit, spoke about Peter's values and  how, unlike the opportunistic framing of Cathy McMorris and other  Delayish republican views, Peter's are rooted solidly as someone who really did grow up in North Eastern Washington.  His family has strong roots in the Okanogan region. He  will champion the rights of  the people in the 5th  for better agricultural economics, reasonable environmental standards, better transportation possibilities,

Peter is a former Regent of WSU, a wheat farmer and molecular biologist. He's also been a strong supporter of local farmers markets and sustainable agricultural practices .

It  always feels good to be able to talk with young people about  the world, this time I was able to speak about the talk we of ARC listened to at the convention by the leader of the Grange. One of the points I remember from that talk was how a suburban lawnowner could purchase and apply chemicals in quantities that most farmers couldn't use at all, would need to be licensed to apply, and could be seriously  fined for misuse. The lawnowner is still free to pollute our mutual ground and waterways without penalty.
