That's right, Pam Roach is pissed that she only got a "good" rating from the Municipal League, and is screeching that the volunteer board that does their rankings is "biased" against conservatives. Apparently, part of her proof of this is that one of the members has not one, but three nose rings.

Roach said she was offended that one of the young volunteers who evaluated her was wearing three nose rings.
"I couldn't find a person with one nose ring in Sumner," she said.

Those damn volunteers - always being biased against raging homophobes and wearing inappropriate body jewelry!

...and they call us elite!

So, let's have some fun. If you live in Sumner, or know someone who does, and you've got a nose ring, send photos of your nose rings to switzer@switzerblog.com, and I'll post 'em here, and we'll email them to Pam, so she knows that she was represented by true Sumner peers.

The first person who lives in Sumner and is willing to get their first nose ring just for this purpose will get their nose pierced for free (hey Washbloggers...this means I'll be hittin' y'all up for a couple bucks to help pay for it; I ain't rich). Postman, I dare ya to mention this offer!

Yvonne Ward for State Senate

Since we all know that Pam is an idiot (as shown in our poll above), I wanted to make sure that you were all familiar with her opponent, Yvonne Ward.

She ran against her 4 years ago, and came damn close. If any year is "the year" for Pam to get kicked to the curb, then this is it! Check her out - she is running one hell of a campaign, but she (of course) could use your help.

Also make sure you check out Chris Hurst (running to take back the seat he gave up 4 years ago), and Karen Willard (running against Pam's spawn Dan Roach).

Come on all you Seattle Democrats, volunteer for a weekend for these three fantastic candidates (hell, most of the 31st is in the 8th Congressional District also - so you could even carry Darcy lit, if you really wanted to). The 31st is ready for a revolution, are you?

Rules

I suppose I should make some rules lest I have to give away a nose ring in bad form...

Must be over 18, or have a parent's consent if between 16 and 18.
Must be a resident of Sumner. Yes, I will check.
Honor system - if you've been pierced before, go away. Our scouts will look for scar tissue before the piercing, because we're tought like that.

Um, there should be more. Maybe an adult will show up in the thread and help me make rules so we don't get sued.

Oh, you take full responsibility for the decision to get pierced, and for the subsequent care for your new piercing, and I'll make you sign something that absolves everyone except Pam Roach of any responsibility should something go horribly awry in your nose piercing.

You know, just one little comment: I know for an absolute FACT that no one on that committee was wearing even one nose ring. Not even a cute little diamond stud in one nostril.
