BIAW Sued for Political Use of $38 Million in Worker Comp Funds

Citizen Steve reported on this at Washington Outsiders: Lawsuit Accuses BIAW of Skimming Millions. Here's the PI article he links to: Builders Lobby Accused of Withholding Refunds from State.

Below are a few Washblog articles that show some of the activities the BIAW funds with the money that it takes out of the pockets of workers and their families.  This is really just a very small sampling.  The BIAW has a strong, continuing, methodical, and unapologetic campaign to reshape politics in this state:

It would take about 15 minutes to draft a legislative fix for this issue.
The state program could be amended to place an annual cap on the amount of surplus which any entity can retain and mandate that the remainder be credited back to the tax payers.
A requirement could also be imposed that members be given a chance to retain their part of any savings or to direct what it can and cannot be used for.

You would think that these ideas would be no brainers since they would amount to tax rebates to mostly small businesses.
