HR2206 to fund a prolongation of the occupation of Iraq and appease Bush.
HR2206 was an Iraqi funding bill designed to appease Bush and prolong our presence in Iraq.
In Washington State only my congressman, Adam Smith of the Ninth, Jay Inslee of the First and Jim McDermott of the Seventh Congressional Districts had the balls to cast a vote in support of our troops and against HR2206.
It is estimated that at current rates of casualties we could reach the mark of 4,000 dead as early as the end of July of this year, and Bush himself predicts a spike in the occurrence of casualties.
And, as noted in another post, both Murray and Cantwell of the Senate voted in favor of appeasing Bush.
Let your Congressman/Woman know how you feel about their votes via phone and/or e-mail.
