Progressive meeting for presidential endorsements?

Hi all.  I will send out a couple of alerts before choosing a planning meeting date to organize a progressive presidential evaluation gathering.  Again, this gathering is for the purpose of going through the pros and cons of each candidate to see if there is some sort of emerging consensus on who the best progressive candidate is for the primary and then work in unison (those who support the main candidate or 2) to support that or those candidates in the primary.

Below are the proposed planning meeting dates:

Fri., July 27, 5:30PM
Saturday, July 28, 10 AM
Friday, August 3, 7:30AM
Monday, July 30, 6PM

So far, the preferred date is the 30th.

The planning meeting for next Monday the 30th will be at 7PM at the Seattle Crab Company at Northgate.  The address is below.  Please RSVP so we can notify the restaurant ahead of time.  Also, feel free to invite people outside of this list.  Call me with any questions at 360-301-1842 or e-mail.  Also, if anyone needs a ride from downtown, I will be coming from the ferry and can give a ride to 4 people.

The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss a forum or series of forums to help us collect information on the Presidential candidates.  We hope this will not devolve into a forum itself, as this is just the first planning meeting for the event.  This is infrastructure, not message.

Some initial points to consider:

We want to invite representatives from ALL of the Democratic Party campaigns.

This forum is not being organized by the state party, nor the caucuses, nor the campaigns.  This is 100% grassroots based and grassroots fed.

We need to determine the following for the event(s):

  1. Location(s)
  2. Date & Time
  3. Who will be in charge at each location, and who their team is.
  4. What each location needs to be successful and productive.

If I'm completely off base on any of this, please let me know.  Add your ideas and suggestions here:
