In a move that can only be described as "lining the pockets of his friends in the insurance industry" President Bush released (on a Friday night to boot) new regulations that will make it impossible to cover additional children through state health care insurance programs (SCHIP). This comes just as Congress was passing bills to enable more children to receive coverage and many states have appropriated funds to cover more low-income children in their state.

I am asking you to take five minutes of your day and contact your Governor, Congressman and U.S. Senators and tell them

    "President Bush's new rules which reduce the availability of the Children's Health Insurance Program for uninsured kids must be repealed. (Elected Official) must call President Bush today and demand a complete rollback of the new rules. Can I count on (Elected Official) to stand up for our kids?"
