My hopes just got dashed.

Kinda sucks.

We did not see this coming.

John Edwards to make a statement from New Orleans today, 1pm their time.

My lovingly designed (now outdated) caucus poster HERE.

I told you so.
It had to happen.
Goliath just stepped on David.
Hey, that's a bummer. Go Obama!
Who cares? Go Hillary!
This sucks. That is all.
He must've made a deal--I hope it was a biggie

I was hoping to vote my values in the upcoming caucuses.  Even though Edwards and Kucinich are still on the ballot, what sense does it make?

Anyone have a strategy?

I am disappointed that Edwards voice for millions in this campaign will now be diluted into soundbites of 'change', with no real design on how to achieve the 'change' that the voters demand.

But the movement does not die because of it. Passionate liberals, libertarians, and conservatives who all share the value of 'we the people' control the lever of democracy, and because of that - the fight will continue. Much has been gained in a short order, believe it or not. The corporatism embedded in both parties face increasing pushback on the policies they lobby for, the status quo they wish to preserve, and the influence their money can buy.

The electorate is pissed and no catch phrase will pacify us. I believe we will see a Democratic Administration take control of the White House, and with that - Hope springs eternal. We will press them for progressive 'change' in a sustained manner like never before. The advent of liberal ideas being propagated via Air America, Blogs, and now a beachhead of liberals on previous neocon dominated newschannels like MSNBC is unprecedented in modern media.

Voters don't want incremental baby steps to get this country back on track, and won't tolerate wonkish nuanced reasoning why that is the path to take. Edwards expertly articulated this passion, and I look forward to seeing him as Attorney General taking on corporate abuses for the next 8 years.

looking out for more than the corporate crony crooks of DC ... ??

PLEASE have the promises printed on Charmin or Kleenex, or, preferably both.

I know, cuz all kinds of really smart colledge edu-crated people tell me -

I know that it took decades for the fascists to really get their message / lie machine humming

so we're supposed to be patient and keep voting for and supporting the sell outs, like cantwell and murray and inslee-we-can't-impeach

cuz if we keep supporting them then they'll finally look up from their caviar and policy papers and they'll see that we peee-d on crapped on pathic whiners in the corner need some support, tooo

sniffle sniffle, whine whine.

OR, instead of pledging our time and our few bucks,

to go into a black hole to raise more time and more bucks,

so that we can get sold down the river with shit like an 'Attorney General' who likes waterboarding by the likes of

chuck schumer the sell out ...

MAYBE We Should Pledge TO NEVER EVER HELP ANY SON OF A BITCH WHO SELLS US OUT.

PERIOD.

Maybe we should STOP cowering under the fascist meme that fighting fascists is fu$$$ng 'divisive',

because fighting for the right to have MORE than drinking outta puddles to lick their boots isn't divisive,

it is just protecting your just right to have some freaking opportunity in life,

and it is just protecting your just right to have some of the wealth you created in the community.

p.s. For those of you bent on convincing the wayward of the justness of your cause, save yourself.

I know how to use google, so if I need a lesson in the completely pathetic legislative records of sell out #1 or sell out #2, I'll go to their web sites directly so I can read the lies unfiltered.

oh well, another one bites the dust.

hopefully there will be someone running this fall who is gonna knock heads,

NOT just give me the same old consultant blue dog bush dog dlc conventional 'wisdom' crap about why the Dems are pathetic, spineless, sell out losers?

rmm.

Yes, I think there's a better candidate, but I definitely would have caucused for him as a second choice. And he did a great job of moving the debate in the right direction.

He should have stayed in until the convention. It would have been far more interesting and I think he could have done something really meaningful. I would  really, really hope that Senator Edwards would consider joining the ticket as a Vice-Presidential candidate.

I'm sick of people saying that it would be a "come-down" or something. It's a high office that he should be proud to run for. It would give him a great platform for his message and a great chance to be President - a job I'm sure he'd be good at.
