Permanent reusable protest sign

I signed up for one of the True Majority events, but couldn't find the overpass they were on, and so just went to Roanoke St.

I held my sign from about 5:30PM to 6:45 PM

NO EQUITY?
NO BAILOUT!

All positive responses.

Permanent erasable protest sign

It's a 24" x 17" dryboard which can be written on or have a poster Publisher document taped on it.  It can be used in both portrait and landscape aspects.  The plastic protective cover is essential in the Pacific Northwest--sorry about the glare.

Reusable protest sign--back

PVC pipe attachment sites are on the back.  A union allows the segmented pipe to be broken down, and the protective cover becomes a carrying case.  Easier to carry on the bus than signs with sharp sticks attached.

great idea.

I use a 10 ft. strip of tyvek and painters tape.

The tyvek can be rolled up, and the tape comes off easily when I want to say something new.

After many demonstrations, I gave up using protective plastic, even when it's raining hard. The reflection makes the sign hard to read, especially for drivers. They might only see a few letters and a blotch.

The media probably won't photograph it either, cause it's less legible in the picture.

After experimenting with plastic signboard (expensive) & fixative sprays (not durable enough) I now do this:

I use waterproof markers on foamcore or posterboard on top of foamcore, then coat the signs heavily with matte Mod Podge, an acrylic glue in a jar that dries clear and waterproof. I cover the edges too. Most art stores have it, like NW Art & Frame in West Seattle.

I'd also suggest: make the letters at least twice as thick.
