A blushing bride broke both her wrists in a freak dancing accident on her hen weekend .
Fashion store assistant Elin Russell-Hughes, 33, spent months planning her perfect big day - but was left with two plaster casts on both wrists to walk down the aisle.
She fractured both wrists by twerking on the dancefloor just 10 days before flying from Britain to her plush New York wedding to fiance Gareth Wyn Williams, 45.
She said: "My friends threw me a hen weekend to remember - because we were planning to get married alone in New York.
"But on the first night of the hen do it happened. I had a twerking accident which resulted in me breaking both my wrists.
"After a good cry over a bottle of gin and the initial panic was that I wouldn't be able to fly I decided that a couple of broken bones weren't going to stop me."
But it meant Monsoon fashion-worker Elin, of Anglesey, North Wales, had to come up with an emergency plan to not let it ruin her day - or the photos.
The fashion-conscious bride tried to find a silver lining - and decided to have two light blue plasters to represent the traditional 'something blue'.
But she had a "meltdown" when she realised everything she had bought for the day would clash the blue of the plaster.
She trawled the internet in search for a disguise - and contacted Cover My Cast, a family-run Plymouth business which provides stretch, washable fabric covers for casts and splints.
