My dear husband says I'm now a "Project Manager". And I never even read one of his dull "Project Management Institute" or "Quality Assurance" magazines. Needless to say, I NEVER could've done this without him. I think now I MAY get back to my normal life, finally.

The newly-minted Citizen Artiste will have a small sum to give to Jim McDermott, something like $1800--below the maximum allowed. I think how many people could dash off a check for this amount and not even feel it--whereas I devoted about five hundred hours of my life to scrape up the same!

I normally work solo. So it was quite a challenge to persuade all these performers to participate. I even involved some formerly apolitical performing artists.

For instance, one of the performers had told me bluntly: "I don't care about politics--it's all bullshit as far as I can tell. I don't even vote, usually."

Yet she consulted her friends who DO pay attention, and Jim McD got rave reviews. She eventually was convinced, and became enthused about participating.

A few others were only vaguely aware of who was their congressman and had never heard about the lawsuit controversy that is costing him a fortune.

Good news: a new hearing of Boehner vs. McDermott is scheduled for late September.
