Operation Phonebook for Patty Cant!

Last night, pretty fried from a very busy weekend and a very busy first day of semester,

I was having a bowl of Pho and trying not to fall asleep into the steaming basil & chili garlic paste enhanced broth.

I was reading the Times about our recently departed treasure Molly Ivins, and I thought

THAT was one hell of a Patriot / great person / great chick.

I got home to read on kos about the latest thuggery over the FAKE NON-F$$$ING-BINDING 'RESOLUTION'

from the fascists, AND

the lack of anything but cowardice from the recently 'empowered' hapless Dems.

This a.m. before work I read seattle's own dkos treasure, mcjoan, on russ's comments

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/2/6/3929/28782

about the DC-Constultant-Ocracy selling us out again,

and today I get home and I read, from washblog's treasure Noemie, about the latest lack of anything from

our UNITED STATES SENATORS.

And, in case anyone has missed some of my better thoughts -

WE THE PEEEEE-ONS should NOT be calling DEMOCRATIC UNITED STATES SENATORS from the State of WASHINGTON to do their jobs!

WE should NOT!

We have to, cuz they are incompetent or corrupt.

However, what if, instead of calling them to do their freaking jobs,

you pulled out the phonebook for laurelhurst and queen anne and magnolia and

ANY place with enough rich people who can afford to run for office

and you just called people and asked them to run against these 2 nitwits?

we'd get a russ? a tester? a webb? a lamont? a nadar?

ANYTHING better than these 2?

I mean ... holy crap. Waht is confusing here?

Fascists bankrupting the country, AND

oh, by the way

killing lots of people, AND

we gotta call these 2 to have them to their freaking jobs?

please.

I feel dirty, stupid, used and abused by calling these two.

Lets call rich people and get working on replacing Patty Cant in too many years away!

rmm.

Can random names from a phone book matter?
you think these 2 matter?
I'd rather waste my time watching Stacey Kebler wrestle.
I prefer men wrestling.
lets spend 5 months argueing platform issues.

agreement on a non binding resolution could be that enough votes will exist to block funding for the additional 48,000 troops stithead intends to deploy.
The democrats and a few R's intend to do something to send a message (at a minimum) so in an odd way, the inability to do less may yield more.
So keep sipping your broth all is not lost.

We can see how rare it is for grassroots preferences to have much effect on what happens electorally.  Just look at Dean.

I don't see any reason to believe our Senators are corrupt.  Whatever's going on -- it's a result of the circumstances and the nature of human beings -- the reality, the way things are.  It definitely is the place for people to call on their government to do its job.  It's not insulting.  It's our job, no?

By the time the election comes, if Democrats haven't shown that they can take control, then I think a Republican reformer could have a good chance at unseating Sen. Murray.

It's crazy. It might work. In any case, it would probably cause great consternation amongst the consultocracy.

I would improve the suggestion in one small respect. Get someone like Gibney to suggest some places in the state other than Seattle, where we might call into, some places where those "Eastern Washington Voters" live who we are all supposed to apprehend with befuddled awe because of their ability to supposedly connect directly to the brains of our Senators and cause them to dish this watered down porridge.

Export the mojo!
