Abu Gonzo Coming to Seattle

Of all the nerve, Abu's gonna pay a visit to the US Attorney's office here in the Emerald City. I hope John McKay meets him at the door:

The event, free and open to the public, is being sponsored by the Discovery Institute, a think tank best known for promoting "intelligent design" as an alternative to the theory of evolution, and TechNet Northwest, a political coalition of technology executives.

Of course, if it's FREE, maybe we should all sign up to attend!

If you're a Seattle-area Kossack and can spare some time next Wednesday morning, might not be a bad thing to check out:

Discovery Institute is pleased to promote an event sponsored by TechNet Northwest featuring United States Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

Attorney General Gonzales will deliver a speech on the Department of Justice's efforts to protect intellectual property and combat cyber-crime.

The event will be held on Wednesday, June 27th, from 8:30am to 9:15am at the Seattle Westin Hotel Grand Ballroom 1.

Mind like a steel trap? Magisterial command of the issues? Acute eye for nuance and detail? Ahead of the curve on who's doing what, where, and why?

He's certainly the speaker you'd be looking for if you were hungry for the latest and greatest on these critical topics, isn't he?

TechNet is a for-real  new economy interest group. Discovery Institute is a bin of loonies. What's the governing agenda behind this appearance?
