Post political dreams here!

I can't escape politics even in my dreams!

I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP.

Last night I had a bout of insomnia, and was up half the nite reading blogs. About 8am I finally dozed off, and I just woke up from a nightmare (or daymare)!

I was a delegate at the Democratic Convention (as I hope to be for real). The vote count had been interrupted. It was announced that it had been decided Hillary would be the nominee, and Obama the VP.

"It can't be!" I cried, but no one else seemed bothered. "But he has more votes!" I said to the other delegates. "They've screwed so many people doing this!" And they said: "Oh, get over it. It's the right thing to do."

"Would you like to meet Hillary?" my mother said proudly , bringing her over. Smiling, Hillary extended her hand, but I just said: "I think you're a b....." Everyone gasped, but I had decided this couldn't be real cause Hillary was in her bra. (Ha, for once it was not ME underdressed.)

I said, "I'm leaving this convention and I'm not coming back." No one cared; as I left they were watching a big screen high-budget movie glorifying Hillary, where she resembled a movie star, 30 years younger. Obama stood on the stage with her looking modest.

I woke up with my heart pounding.

In late 2003, a couple weeks before the Iowa Caucus, I had a dream that Howard Dean had collapsed while speaking and was in a coma. No one knew why, but foul play was suspected.

I woke the next morning (in the dream) to hear on the radio that Dr. Dean had died. I was stricken with grief.

Then I woke up for real, very disturbed. A few weeks later it actually happened (sort of).

I've also dreamed that I was trapped in a submarine with John Kerry. And I won't even mention the one where I sucked Bill Clinton's thumb, because Dear GOD, I am NOT proud of it.

That was a bad dream as evidenced by the fact that you woke up prior to the election or hitting the ground.

I had two dreams on the same issue -- both of them were about my state Senator voting in favor of the local options bill for public financing. I don't remember them very well, I think I was asking her to support the bill....  Yes, I wanted that bill to pass very badly.  And Senator Kauffman did vote in favor of it.
