A request from South Carolina

Letting my fingers do the walking on the Internet, I've gotten in touch with a lot of different people from all over the country.  This hit my inbox today, and I wanted to share.

Chad,

Pass this along to all candidates in your area, please!!!

Hello to all Democrats in 2008,

I am Jamie Sanderson, chairman of the Georgetown, S.C., Democratic Party. You have probably received e-mails from me before. I am sending you another one for a fresh start in 2008.

I am building a nationwide Democratic billboard, with wood and nails, to showcase on election night 2008 at the United Steelworkers union hall in Georgetown, the place of our victory party. My plans are to make this an annual event.

However, I need your help.

More after the jump

I need materials from candidates running in 2008. If you are a candidate reading this, please take this seriously because I am doing my best to bring the color BLUE to a RED state and I am putting my money into the building of this billboard for all candidates in the U.S. I am a dedicated 30-year-old activist and this is no laughing matter. I am very determined to make the Republicans feel uneasy in 2008.

Many have sent materials in 2007. Now, let's make 2008 a banner year for us. I need each and every one of you to get on board with this and find candidates for me, and if a chairman/chairwoman of a party is reading this, please get as many candidates to send materials as possible.

Some of you have e-mailed me stating you having nothing yet and to get back in touch with you. I am very sorry, but I need e-mails to include a name and contact number and candidate you are referring to because I have hundreds with none.

If you have none at this moment, then respond accordingly and let me know that you do indeed plan to participate in this event.

The Web sites are below, and I apologize, but they may need to be copied and pasted into a browser for them to work. The first link will take you the site dedicated to this endeavor and will show how many candidates so far have sent mateirals.

What I need is as follows:

1 yard/rally sign, 10 bumper stickers, 10 lapel stickers and a business card

That's it. It's that simple.

With this, you make a county in a RED state feel at home with BLUE all around.

Feel free to contact me whenever, and please leave a messege with name, candidate and phone number(s).

In victory we stand...
