Osgood Wins Sno Co Dems Endorsement in Race for SOS

On Saturday morning Jason Osgood got up early and made the drive to Everett to give his very first "stump speech" as a Democratic candidate for Washington Secretary of State. His efforts were rewarded with the endorsement of the Snohomish County Democrats.

More below...

Jason Osgood with yours truly

I was happy to introduce Jason to County Chair, Mark Hintz, prior to the official call to order. From that point on, Jason was on his own. His speech hit all the right marks. He delivered a well polished narative on his background of activism for the cause of voting integrity. He moved to his platform as a candidate and concluded with a well phrased plea for support. The endorsement process went very smoothly with Jason's name included on a slate of state-wide races.

I am looking forward to hosting Jason at the next meeting of Democracy for Snohomish County on Tuesday night. From there it will be off to Spokane to seek the official nomination of the state party.

Peace,
Chad (The Left) Shue

Chad Shue, you're awesome. Thank you for reaching out to me, making sure I don't miss these opportunities.

Meeting the Snohomish County Democrats was great fun. That they would be the first to endorse me is a huge honor. (I'm still smiling.)

Snohomish County has struggled with voting equipment from Sequoia (touchscreens) and ES&S (ballot tabulators). They're no stranger to election integrity issues.

I look forward to Tuesday night. See you then!

Our endorsement meeting is the second Monday in July.  Jason gave a great speech and I think people are excited at the prospect of  -er umm maybe protecting our votes?
