Solid Approval Numbers for Patty Murray via Survey USA

{First, a cheap plug for my blog Senate Guru.}

Survey USA released its latest approval numbers for Senator Patty Murray, clocking her at 55% approve, 36% disapprove.

The breakdown numbers are also very stable as she clocks in at 55-38 among men, 54-34 among women, above 50% approval among all age groups, 52-35 among independents, and 62-27 among self-described moderates.

Those look to me like extremely solid numbers heading into her re-election cycle. So, will the Republicans find anyone to take her on? Would Dino Rossi want to shift gears from Gov to Sen? Would Dave Reichert give up his House seat for a shot at the Senate? Or will the WA-GOP have to settle for a third-tier token opponent?

Well... Sims is off to the Other Washington, so we don't need to harp on him as a closet Republican any more.

Mary Lou Dickerson apparently wants to change election law so your ballot has to be RECEIVED by election day... I don't know how to weaselly boil this down: your hands or theirs?

GoForItLarry.ConstantContact.Com is apparently running for office. Makes you wonder about GoForItLarry.YouWiggleYourAssReallyGood.cn.. or something.

My. Our.. who are these people who spam us? Do we care, or are they spammers?

Who cares?

Let's see her get the $40 billion back in the stimulus package so that public education doesn't collapse in Washington State.

One-third of students in Washington State already don't graduate on time. Many of them don't graduate at all. What do you think will happen when all resources to support academically challenged students disappear?

More dropouts, swelling the ranks of our local gangs. More dead bodies. More of the young in prison.

Please name one elected official in Washington State who gives a shit about this. I mean really gives a shit. Some who cares enough to risk a little public truth-telling.
