Cathy gets Nasty

Jimmy has the goods and Peter's response.
We were expecting Rovian tactics in support of Ms. McMorris, but this one is as mean as anything I've seen since they trashed Tom Keefe in 2000.

I saw a same themed McGavick ad last night also. There's no way that letting all of Shrub's tax gifts lapse would translate to THOUSANDS of dollars for ordinary people.

I don't know what else to say, haven't I said the converse enough? Honestly I don't see much here in the way of attack ads or mailings or doorbellers from these folks... or the ones "on our side".. which gives me some reason to hope that they are actually out scrapping over the swing voters.

I added a few bricks from the primary to the elections folly...

I was in Montana last weekend, around Whitefish, Kalispell, and Missoula. For some reason, I was able to get a Spokane TV station at my hotel. Watching the political ads was very interesting. (The local Conrad "On the Take" Burns vs Jon Tester were also illuminating.)

I normally don't see this kind of stuff. I rarely watch TV at home. Unless it involves photon torpedoes, warp engines, Cylons, or dead parrots.

Cathy McMorris' attack ad against rationale operator Peter Goldmark was remarkable. Mostly for being completely untethered to reality. Apparently the lunatic fringe fear Goldmark will rollback all the corporate give-aways incurred since the borrow-and-spend GOP has taken control of our finances. For this, Goldmark was labeled "The Tax Man".

Of all the things going on right now, the psychos are obsessing on protecting their crony capitalist  sponsors. Kind of makes me sick.

for decades.

(BTW - hats off to Peter AND good luck fighting the thug lie-du-jour AND ... )

it is our fault for continually voting for spineless sacks who can't reframe this 'tax and spend' crap, AND

it is our leaders fault for NOT being leaders (ya know, gasp, the job THEY RAN for and THEY HAVE ... choke).

Let's jump to a military comparison, since, we kind of are in a political war against 13 century theocrats doing the dirty work of age old aristocrats.

In WW1 you had an age old tactic of mass infantry attacks propagated by dinosaur tacticians, AND the machine gun, AND unbelievable slaughter.

Then the tank came along and now the machine gun didn't rule the battle field.

In the world of politics, where you gotta be able to adapt in 24 hours, IF you want your agenda to move,

too many of the too big Dems with their hands on the purse haven't figured out the machine gun or the tank, or the repeating rifle ... or the rifle ... or gunpowder.

Other than Dem candidates who ON THEIR OWN get their own money and their own effective tactics,

the Dem party is like a mob with sticks and stones attacking Fort Lewis.

The only reason the mob would win is that everybody at the Fort is passed out drunk, or, gone.

ugh.

why does 'tax and spend' work ? NOT for any good reason.
