Thanks for the newsletter, and thanks for supporting the SCHIP bill (next time you cross the aisle, could you try to bring along a few more friends? :-)
On the other hand, I'm rather disappointed that with all of the truly pressing matters at hand, that the House and Senate chose to waste a minute debating whether to condemn their constituent's lawful (and spot-on) exercise of free speech...
I am a former soldier and I believe that Petraeus has in fact betrayed his trust to my brothers and sisters in arms as well as the American people by compromising the faithful execution of his duties in favor of his pursuing his political aspirations.
The war he's so disingenuously selling is senselessly slaughtering our soldiers, killing Iraqis, and undermining America's security in the world for decades to come. Dave, you're not a partisan ideologue, surely you're coming to recognize this war for the travesty it is? In law-enforcement terms, Bush is pulling a "Rodney King" on Iraq and that cannot end well!
