Emergency Post-Election Meeting at Trinity United Methodist Church

This is from an email that is making the rounds.  I hope to have more details in a few days.

There will be a gathering Wednesday evening, November 8th, 7pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 6512 23rd Ave. NW 98117.

This emergency meeting is called "just in case" shenanigans happen on November 7th.  The purpose of the meeting will be to strategize an immediate response. As we have learned from 2000 and 2004 -- and from the Ukraine and Mexico -- once the "fix" is in, it becomes very important for WE THE PEOPLE to organize a response.

In the event that this election is clean and proper, then the Wednesday night meeting will be a bit more celebratory.  Yet, still it will be a calling forth for a strategy to end the invasion of Iraq, bring our troops home, and re-orient the economy towards commonwealth.

I'll be there. Though I'll be a bit bleary-eyed from working the election, so don't expect anything coherent out of me.

Washington Citizens for Fair Elections is having a meeting Tuesday Nov 14th. The topic is a debrief of the election. Location TBD (probably Bagley Wright Elementary).

Phil Harrison has started using MeetUp to coordinate: http://electionreform.meetup.com/158/

So signup to get announcements.

The church is served by the #18 bus, which goes up 24th Ave NW. A bus arrives from 1st & Pine downtown at 6:46 and arrives at NW 65th & 24th Ave NW at 7:14.

Going the other direction it is served by the #75 coming out of Northgate.

Might just as well get the new era started in an ecologically sound fashion, whatever turn it takes.
