So then what? There are no conduits to hold corporations accountable, yet, there is conflicting interest/corruption within each one that is in control of the information. At what point does the corporation differ from the political leadership? Why do you think telecommunication corporations have such a sweet deal with the "leaders of the free world" (both parties), in that they get a free ticket for mass consolidation, unreasonable charges, control over the digital commons? It's because if they all work together, towards their own goals, they can figure out exactly what you are doing, when you are doing it, and who you're with. These databases connect the dots between your electricity usage, your cell phone time, and where you're spending your money. In effect, if they really want to, these databases can contribute to advertising and marketing products, ideaologies, voting patterns, the flow of our people.

Regardless of the extent that we must all interact within the commons, the commons are for sale. As people subjected to this "espionage/propaganda/BS", we need to take it back.
