Turning the WSDCC Reorganization into a Grassroots event
Hi everyone,
Like I posted as a comment to a previous post, the upcoming reorganization meeting is important for all of us to attend. The Democratic Party is the party of the progressive movement and the grassroots activists of this country and this state because we make it so. Below the fold is the caucus meeting schedule, and the committee schedules. Some of the committees are official operating committees, where WSDCC members rule. Others are working committees, where we can have a voice. Please try and attend!
Caucuses
8:00 to 9:30 AM Caucus Meetings
9:30 to 10:30 AM
The Native American Caucus, which met at the State Convention, evidently did not request a room. There is also the potential for other faith caucuses so we can bring spiritual progressives into the party and make them feel welcome from all religions. Committee meetings
10:30 AM to 12:00 PM Committee Meetings
I know the Technology Committee is open to anyone, and there are some exciting things up for discussion. How about a National Voter File? The DNC has put out a Request for Proposals (RFP) on just such a monster, and I've had this confirmed by a few different sources. Hope to see a huge crowd on Saturday morning, and let's begin the 2007-2008 election season with an bang!
