In the press release, (county GOP chair) Cleverley cited three Internet sites, one political advertisement and the Kitsap County Voter's Pamphlet as evidence of Brown's "flip-flopping" on his educational background. Cleverly said he has heard from "a number of people who have seen him at forums that he's changing his (education) description."

Cleverley suggests, "Maybe we need to call the school to verify that he even got a degree, and that he didn't just pay $25 to get the diploma from an online diploma mill."

Cleverley admits that he didn't call Berkeley about Brown's academic record, because he doesn't "think it's our responsibility to have to go through that to find out what his background is."

Turns out that Berkley didn't have a major in the degree that Brown wanted, urban planning, but that he was able to actually create a course of work that would graduate him with comparable experience. Sounds like he worked pretty hard in college to get the education he wanted. Some people, though, will never be satisfied.
