King County LDs -- November turnout and presidential vote

I've been studying the results of the 2008 general election in King County.  Accumulating the precinct-level data into Legislative Districts, the table below displays turnout and presidential vote results.  The LDs are displayed in descending order of registered voters, with the four partially-King LDs (marked with asterisks) following the 13 that are entirely within the county.  The highest value in each column is italicized.

King County turnout and presidential results, by LD:

and State data by precinct?

I know that by clicking through the various websites, there is a 99% probability that in 30 minutes I will:

  1. find what I want OR more than I could have asked for, OR
  2. be pulling my hair out in frustration cuz I haven't figured the definitions of the jargon, words, and b.s. the people who set up the web sites used, OR
  3. be clicking through who knows what.

given that I get

door #1 20% of the time,
door #2 40% of the time,
door #3 40% of the time

thanks for your knowledge, indulgence, patience, guidance, beneficance ...

is:
The 47th district voted only 55.4% for Obama and yet has elected democrats to all three of its legislative seats, while over in the 5th, Obama got 57.2% and has not elected a D since Kathleen Drew back in 1992.
