Here is some more info regarding Congressman McDermott's guest posting here on Washblog with his SOTU rebuttal and a live discussion. This event is being coordinated with three other blogs and Congressmen:
Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-17) via MyDD.com
Congressman Rush Holt (NJ-12) via Blue Jersey
Congressman Frank Pallone (NJ-6) via NJ for Democracy
From what I know (as of right now), Congressman McDermott will be over on the DCCC Stakeholder blog with the other Congressman while the SOTU is happening, then will make the switch over to Washblog, about 45 minutes after the SOTU.
I don't know how long Congressman McDermott plans on sticking around, from the sound of it by his staff, he will stay as long as the conversations are lively and informed. He is also in D.C. where it will be pretty late to begin with, so I am hoping that we can provide some energy for him to want to stick around.
As a side note, Congressman McDermott is the one who came up with this idea, and may have picked Washblog himself. Don't know that for sure, but if so, that is pretty cool to know that we get read by the Congressman. He is a prolific blogger, in his very limited spare time.
