They accept campaign visits from their varsity players - Bush, Cheney and Rove who come to spread Republican "truth." These are the starters, the First Team, the Main Gang, the Know It Alls.
So who's on the bench
State republicans ... the scrubs on the bench who can't score legitimate points themselves.
