What is wrong with the Dem party hacks??? Are they afraid of Hong Tran???

Maria Cantwell has a "scheduling conflict" when invited by the the P.I.'s editorial board to discuss her race to be elected to the U.S. Senate.

Scheduling conflict, my ass!

The problem was that Hong Tran was also invited since she is running as an anti-war democrat for the Senate. And Maria doesn't want to answer questions about her past and present support of the war.

Maria won't debate Hong Tran either.

And I have not yet had a response to my repeated emails to both the state democratic headquarters or the Pierce County Democrats containing simple, legitmate questions.

I'm a good loyal left-leaning democrat. What's the problem with these hacks? What are they afraid of? How do they expect to attract people to the party when they behave like this?

Hong Tran for Seattle City Council

Maria Cantwell was probably busy doing other stuff. You know, they do turn down a lot of media invites to meet with 'actual' people.

Hong Tran, while a nice person (I ran into her in my neighborhood the other day. She was heading to the M's game, and I was heading to the pub), is going to lose to Maria Cantwell. She's riding that '03 war vote like a big horse, but times are different. Mark Wilson is on the team, so is Dal LaManga (sp?).

While they should answer you email, I don't think they will. It might go something like this:

"The Democrats support their current Democratic Senator, Maria Cantwell."

Tran?

What makes Tran more worthy than the other candidates who have polled higher than she has? I'm not talking about Cantwell, I'm talking about the other no-names that are getting more support than Tran is.

Tran's "lofty" status is far above her position in this race.

Perhaps Cantwell was at an event with the other candidates who are currently above Tran in the polls.

Or she was in fact actually busy - go figure.

No, it's more hate than fear.

The DLC/Clinton/MacAulliffe Democratic party hates ALL dissent and discussion. They want candidates crowned early and never to be asked to "waste" all that precious donor money on political debate. Political debate is seen to be bad, even if the debate would be a slam-dunk for the mainstream candidate.
