McGavick's Big Lie

Last week, Washington State Senate Candidate Mike McGavick came clean with his life's big failings: A failed marriage, a bad tenure as CEO of a mega-corporation, and a drunk driving incident.
At the time, he was somewhat recognized for these powerful and personal admissions.
But now it turns out he lied, even while coming clean...
(details below)
Both the SeattleTimes and the SeattlePI have it:
In McGavick's original admission, he said he cut a yellow-light too close, was pulled over, blew a modest 0.17 BAC, was issued a citation and released.
Now that reporters have found the original paperwork, here's the truth:
He didn't cut a yellow too close; he ran a solid red light.
He blew a 0.17 BAC 1.5 hours after he was stopped. He was probably driving around 0.20 or more!
He wasn't issued a citation and released. He was arrested, taken to the police station, and passed-out drunk during processing.
But somehow, this news comes out at 5p.m. on a Friday evening of a holiday weekend, when it won't get any traction. Somehow, we gotta keep this current through next week.
And to those who would say, "Yes, but this happened 13 years ago", just remember, he created these lies last week, when he had a golden opportunity to tell the truth.
