Just the facts. King County was in negotiations with a candidate who was willing to run, but who was going to pay for the filing fee (>$1,000) was still in discussion. No worries, we have three extra days for the party to file beyond the individual filing deadline.
Enter Richard Pope. Enter a pissed off Suzie Sheary.
Enter the Netroots. Brad Larssen will win this, even as a write-in candidate, if we choose to make it happen.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a job to do. There are 302 precincts in the 6th Council District, and we have just over 90 PCO's. These precincts are within four Legislative Districts, those being the 32nd, 41st, 45th and 48th. Here's a map:

Within those Precincts that have PCO's, we need to start knocking on doors. We need to get endorsements for Brad from the following people:
- Ron Sims, King County Executive
- Larry Gossett, Council Chair, District 2
- Bob Ferguson, Council, District 1
- Larry Phillips, Council, District 2
- Julia Patterson, Council, District 5
- Dow Constantine, Council, District 8
- King County Democratic Central Committee
- 32nd District Democrats
- 41st District Democrats
- 45th District Democrats
- 48th District Democrats
- Any Democratic Representative or Senator you can think of that represents part of the 6th Council District
Can we do this? If we choose to. What are we willing to do? What are you willing to do?
Update: Richard has sent in his KCDCC Questionnaire. He's good at framing, and he knows the right answers. It's all up to the grassroots now.
