I love the ethnic festivals at Seattle Center! You too might enjoy this FREE, colorful celebration of Persian music, dance, costume, poetry. GREAT photo-ops too.
There are elements of the right wing who are characterizing the Iranian people as our enemies and trying to demonize them (in preparation for a U.S. attack on Iran?) I recently heard one on right-wing radio - when I accidently tuned in. That's why I want to show the Iranian-American community some love and support.

"The Iranian American Community Alliance (IACA) is excited to host its first annual Iranian Festival on Saturday, June 30, 2007. The Festival will be held at the Seattle Center Pavilion from 10:30am -7:30pm.
The event will bring the Iranian culture and heritage to the community at large while bringing the excitement of our Iranian traditions to our youth and ourselves.
The IACA is run by a team of young Iranian and Iranian-Americans whose mission is to unite and strengthen our current and future Iranian and Iranian American communities through cultural and educational programs, community service, and civic action."
