So, anyone else running for Technology and Communications Vice Chair for King County? I am running for that position, and I don't want to step on any other candidates.

Maybe it will be in the comments after I post. Yeah, that's how this works. :)

Anyway, I want to do a facelift on the King County Democrats website. I like the basic core feel to it, and I can work with it. But we need a banner. Actually, I want several different banners, preferably pictures from around King County. Panoramic pictures of iconic places that people will recognize. Maybe pictures of people around the King County Marching Banner. Something.

Got ideas? Got pictures? Dina, I'm sure you'll be all over this. Looking forward to seeing what comes through!

I'll need specific permission from the original photographer to use it on the website, but that's the only real restriction. I'll go through the pictures submitted with the Chair, and we'll pick some of the best to be used for the website.

December 6th. I can't wait!

Needs more than a facelift...

it needs critical information on the site like a link to the current KCDCC bylaws (there isn't such a link now).

A facelift would be good too as it isn't very appealing.

Rob asked me years ago

to redesign the KC site. Rob knew it sucked design-wise, but he is a techie and knows nothing about design.

I asked him: would this be a paying gig? He said no, it's volunteer. I had to decline, as I was doing a lot of volunteer work for Washington Public Campaigns among other causes, and I just couldn't commit to more.

The site does need a redesign desperately, as you say. It gives me a headache to look at it.

Susan said they can't change the logo. But as you said, a nice looking header across the top would be a good start towards making the homepage more pleasant to view.

I do have some nice pictures of King County, but the majority are in and around Seattle/Vashon. I must not get around much.
