Michael Moore's "Sicko" is going to push the health care issue to the top of the agenda. I hope.
Problem is I just don't have a lot of confidence that Congress will do anything. Bush won't, but even in 2009, I cannot see 40 Senators allowing this to happen. Unless we continue to push and push and push.
And we have to push every elected leader from city and county councils to state legislatures to Congress and every Presidential candidate.
You can print out a
petition demanding affordable, accessible and quality healthcare. Take it the next showing of "Sicko" in your town and fill a page or a dozen. Then send it to everyone of your elected leaders.
Next week in Tacoma (WA), there will be a
resolution before the City Council
"that would authorize the Tacoma City Council to send a resolution to the Washington
State Legislature and the United States Congress that would express the City's support for state and federal legislation providing access to appropriate, high quality health care that is available to all individuals."
Every town, burb and city in America should pass something like this.

downloading the petition and do your part.
