Health Insurance remains a big issue locally

A small reminder that everything doesn't boil down to one or two issues.

In Washington State in 2004:

 * The cost of uncompensated care was $553,229,876
 * The number of uninsured cared for was 748,460

 * Press release from the Office of the Insurance Commissioner
 * Map with breakdown by County

Together, all of the issues represent the crisis we face, locally and nationally.

Instead of boiling things down to one or two "constituent facing" issues, we need to dig deeper and pick up the common threads such as corporatism, lack of oversight, legislative inaction, etc. These threads need to be tied together.

"we" the pros paid to

lose, or barely win?

I know 3 groups of political people:

  1. people with other jobs who gotta NOT get canned / live under the bridge while trying to save the world,

  2. people who don't need a weekly check, but, who are NOT paid to make the decisions, (and are doing a lot more for group 3 than group 3 deserves)

  3. the people who are paid to ... "lead" spend money make decisions.

Too many of Group 3 has proven themselves to be grossly incompetent or politically corrupt.

They are gonna get a message on health care AND other critical stuff,

when they couldn't and can't fight the flat earthers on these stupid initiatives or these corrupt "judge" candidates?

Did you see that the turnout of registered voters in king county, so far, is at 27%!

http://www.metrokc.gov/elections/200609/resPage2.htm

I wonder what the state turnout is gonna be... of eligble voters ??

maybe the pathetic-O-crats might attract more than

yawn

more than not too much ...

IF they stood for something, AND

Delivered the goods?

(hey, fred, did you know it YOUR fault and MY fault that health care isn't enacted, even though ... well, we've been breaking our tails at other jobs for decades ??)

Too much of the Dem leadership of this state is just doing the Gary Locke ...

show up and breath, OR

be incredibly busy with all the marginally effective chores they've kept themselves busy with for decades.

health care, Iraq, torture, Dred Scott judges, property 'rights' for the rich and not the peons, ...

ugh.
