Andrew Himes, executive director of the Voices in Wartime Education Project and producer of the Voices in Wartime film, put on a fundraising event for the education project at Town Hall this past May 5th featuring Brian Turner, Iraq War veteran and award winning poet. The event featured Brian's poetry and the very moving stories and testimony of many veterans, refugees, students, and civilians, all those whose lives have been forever changed by war. We are in the process of editing this into a Pirate TV documentary, but, in the meantime, Andy has consented to allowing us to show his Voices in Wartime film on Pirate TV. This film showed on the PBS "POV" series and Free Speech TV. Join us in watching an extraordinary documentary!

Voices in Wartime - local pride - see it

Thanks for posting this announcement - serves in two ways as it gives visibility to Voices in Wartime; a home grown local educational endeavor that can go a long way towards helping this generation of young people have a legitimate discussion about impact of war on human beings.

Andy Himes is doing some good work there with building Voices in Wartime; collaborating with other substanative endeavors like Soldier's Heart. Watch it grow and kudos to Andy and all who support the work of Voices in Wartime.

Also, the visibility for the Puget Sound Access channel works, too.
