WA 4th of July Events Call for Peace, Constitutional Rights & the Rule of Law

It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade... bonfires and illuminations (fireworks) from one end of the continent to the other. "John Adams, July 3, 1776.

Happy Independence Day! We still have a lot to celebrate, even though the US Constitution, the rule of law, and our national honor are under siege by our own government. Below the fold are a few events (Burien, Federal Way, Sedro Wooley, Seattle, Tacoma) that call for peace and justice. Most of these are from the Federal Way Matters web page. I know there are more. What else is happening?

Burien: Southend Neighbors For Peace and Justice walk (and ride) in the Burien Fourth of July Parade. Assembly time, 2pm. Parade starts at 3pm. Location: Southwest 152nd Street between Fourth Avenue Southwest and Eighth Avenue Southwest. Please join them in the parade or cheer them on from the sidelines. The signs with messages of peace and hope have already been prepared and are patiently awaiting your peaceful countenance to stand behind and support them.
Federal Way: Pre-fireworks vigil organized by Federal Way Matters. South 320th and Pacific Hwy South intersection at 9 PM
Seattle: Fourth of July Constitution Commemoration at Federal Building, 2nd Ave & Marion St., downtown Seattle, noon to 4 pm. Bring signs and banners to display support for the rule of law. Reading of the founding documents and the Bill of Rights of the United States. Please take some time out from you other activities. If you only have limited time to read a part of the Constitution, please come anyway.
Sedro-Woolley: Join People for a Peacable Planet (PPP) in carrying two large peace doves in this, perhaps, oldest community parade in the state. See PPP page for more information.
Tacoma: Antiwar vigil at McCarver and N. 30th in Tacoma, near the entrance to the Tacoma Freedom Fair, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
