Vote for US Senator via IRV

Hi everyone,

I would like to see who among the possible candidates for US Senate would win the final election. To that end, I have set up an IRV poll at Demochoice.com with the names of everyone I have heard is thinking about a run, as well as everyone that I have heard from the grassroots that you would like to see on the ballot. Here is the link:

http://www.demochoice.org/dcballot.php?poll=USSenateWA

If you would like to vote for someone that is not on this list, please contact me and let me know who to add. I'll let you know when it is done so you can vote for whom you want, not just the names given to us.  If you want to put your own name on there, that's fine with me!

I grabbed the current list of names from the Wikipedia entry on the race, and I've heard from a lot of people who would like to see Jay Inslee jump in the race.

Hey Switzerblog, should I add your name?

between a hobby pole and science. For the latest facts on this race how about looking at the Elway poll with results quoted in the David Ammons column in todays papers. Cantwell by 30% will be very hard to overturn.

What has become clear, from her actions and her supporters here on this blog, is that Maria Cantwell does not want the help or to do anything for the votes of liberals in the Western part of this state.

Meanwhile, what became clear to me in the Dean campaign is that Progressives are less ideological and more united in purpose than in many years.

Therefore, you have two groups in the same party who want different things. While this is always true to some extent, the divergence has gotten greater. A divergence does not have to become a rift, so long as people are not forced into situations they can't accept.

Maria Cantwell isn't acceptable to the Progressive wing of her party and she doesn't want to be! So why tell us lefties we have to support her when she doesn't want our support? It's ridiculous.

Every effort has been made to create a dialogue with her campaign. We're not hard to find, if she wants to talk. Canwell is a professional politician and therefore I assume she knew perfectly well what would happen when she voted for cloture on Alito. If she didn't, she doesn't deserve the job simply on the basis of incompetence.

Cantwell has her priorities - she's got to make Harry Reid and Hillary Clinton happy. Progressives have our priorities - we want to move the political debate to the left, as we have done. Since our priorities are so different it makes no sense for Cantwell and her supporters to expect help from Progressives. What they should expect is strong criticism. That's the choice the Senator made.

The question for all Democrats is whether the top of the ticket is an important priority this year. I believe the Progressive answer can and should be "no", and on that Maria Cantwell and I seem to agree.

Anybody know of any evidence she thinks differently?

Negative, Angry, Bitter, Disrespectful, Divisive, Political !!

Even though there are NOT 2 people in the world who agree on everything, AND, everything in the world is political ...

and U.S. Senator is political ...

and disagreement is normal ...

well, nevermind.

You should just shut up and do what you are told!!
