Why U.S. Senate does NOT Matter

25 Dems - Including U.S. Senator Patty Murray, voted for the spook-in-chief Hayden for the thief-in-chief's CIA.

Remember the fillibuster against the recent Tax Thievery legislation ?

NO ?

It did NOT happen!  Gotcha !!

The U.S. House, or down ticket, is where to put time and money, IMHO.

IF someone thinks a Dem Senate will matter, IMHO the following list of 5 Senate campaigns from Kos is a good list to support -

by supporting the new crowd, AND,

NOT supporting the same ol same ol quislings ... maybe the quislings ... will change their DNA?

Kos has a bunch of Hayden diaries, I've skimmed some, and I see no point in re-writing stuff that people have already written.

You may have some grounds for your opinion, but more Democrats in the Senate surely can't hurt!
Thank you for the links, I read some of them. I think kos is a little glitzy for my taste. BUt good information.

The Senate sure matters to the GOP.

Kos diaries, I think this one would do the author some good.

If we are going to be pushing Kos diaries here I may as well push this one that I wrote a few months ago on Jack Carter for Senate:

2006 The Democratic Perfect Storm is Here Featuring Jack Carter the Next Senator from Nevada

Ultimately, if Senators in the Democratic party we disagree with don't get re-elected then the Democratic Senators and Democratic Senatorial candidates who win that we do agree with will continue to be irrelevant.

... but I don't think it's the US Senate.

Guys,
Please take a step back on this one.  The Hayden nomination is complicated, although I realize that the main storylines will likely not be budged.  Read Steve Clemons here before you jump to any conclusions.  People close to the government right now see Hayden as the person to keep Donald Rumsfeld from exerting too much control over the CIA.  It's not exactly ideal, but having Hayden in there might actually be the lesser of all evils right now.

At this point, there are much, much, bigger battles (Alito was one of them, sadly), and we need to have Democrats or any alternate party in power right now.
